Tony Avent is an American horticulturist and plantsman. He owns Plant Delights Nursery in Raleigh, North Carolina which specialises in rare, and unusual perennials.
In addition, he is a well-known plant explorer, author and public speaker, Tony grew up with a passion for plants. Instead of playing games, he wandered the woods and fields near his home studying wildflowers. Tony has taken part in 60 plant hunting expeditions to places like China, Crete, Taiwan, South Africa and Argentina.
