A SPECIAL EVENT IN AID OF THE NATIONAL GARDEN SCHEME (NGS) (Sponsored by FAGUS)
GARDENING WITH DROUGHT
TUESDAY 23rd AUGUST.
The Dairy, Weston in Gordano
This year’s severe drought has provided a stark warning of what is ahead with Climate Change.
A Masterclass led by Mary Payne MBE, will examine ways to deal with this difficult challenge. What makes a plant tolerant of dry conditions? How best to manage your soil? When is the critical stage for watering? A tour of Chris Lewis’s NGS garden, where watering is minimal (pots only), will examine what has survived or failed in this extreme heat and why. This is one of the most vital subjects to be considered by todays gardeners.
