Lecture (Short talk) – AGM – Gardening for Wellbeing – Debi Holland

Monday, 21 February 2022 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Please note this meeting will be held on Zoom rather than a live event in the hall.

Debi has an RHS diploma in Horticulture, studied at Bristol Botanic Garden and Cannington Walled Garden and was a volunteer Harvester at Tyntesfield National Trust Estate. She applies her BA Hons degree and background in Art, Media and Design to her North Somerset garden maintenance and design business ‘Debi Holland Gardening.’

She is also a freelance feature writer for ‘Garden News’ magazine. Her work has been published online and in print for the RHS, ‘Countryfile’ and ‘Grow Your Own’ magazine, Richard Jackson Garden, Gardening for the Disabled Trust, and local magazines, ‘All About Cleeve’ and ‘Fagus Times’, as well as various social media channels. She is a member of the Garden Media Guild and Fagus Gardening Club.

Debi is an RHS Ambassador for ‘Inspiring the Future,’ which connects schools and volunteers to motivate young people with their future prospects, giving them an insight into different careers.

She is an organic, no dig, wildlife gardener, who loves plant photography, visiting gardens but especially seeking out plants in their natural habitat whilst out walking.
