A self drive visit to two gardens in Gwent, Wales – LLANOVER, and HIGHFIELD FARM
The first garden we are visiting is LLANOVER, NP7 9EF, a 15 acre garden near Abergavenny, 40 miles from Nailsea. The garden features a stream with cascades and rills & a series of ponds, plus herbaceous borders and 2 arboreta with several champion trees. There is a mobility vehicle and some buggies for our use at this garden.
The second garden, HIGHFIELD FARM, NP4 0AA, is a complete contrast, but only 6 miles away, with wonderful views over the Welsh mountains. It is filled with a variety of unusual plants from all over the world plus a new garden open this year. The garden and the refreshments are all at the level where we park, although it does slope down to the lower garden and extra seating next to the house.
We will be led on a tour of both gardens by the owners.
The cost of entry, for both gardens, including refreshments is £26.50
